Nasrin Rahimieh is a Professor of Comparative Literature and the Maseeh Chair and Director of Dr. Samuel M. Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture at the University of California, Irvine. She completed her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from University of Alberta in 1988. She Studied German/French at Dalhousie University and attended Williams School. Her research interests include Modern Persian Literature, Iranian Diaspora, Women's Writing and Iranian Cinema.
