Women for Women International honored its global Ambassador Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan with the organization's inaugural Women of the World Award at a gala at the Regent Beverly Hills Wilshire Hotel. Due to the tragic events in Jordan, the Queen was unable to attend. She spoke to those in atttendance via video from Jordan. Actress Julia Ormond received the Champion of Peace Award. Vocalist Sussan Deyhim provided the evening's entertainment.
