Keyhan Kalhor, master of the kamancheh (Persian spike fiddle) has collaborated with cellist Yo-Yo Ma for the Silk Road project, the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Brooklyn Rider. Last year, he collaborated with Turkish master musician, Erdal Erzincan and performed Persian and Turkish pieces.

Kalhor performed Persian and Indian improvisations with renowned Indian sitarist and vocalist Shujaat Hussain Khan at Royce Hall. Kalhor and Khan had worked together on four albums "Ghazal 1", "Ghazal 2", "Ghazal 3", and "The Rain". They performed jointly composed songs. Khan's lyrics contained references to spirituality and love. The duo was accompanied by traditional tabla percussion from Samir Chatterjee. It was truly an unforgettable and magnificent concert.
