Persian Gulf Dust Storm- MODIS
1km | 500m | 250m

On May 17, 2007, a dust storm swept over the Persian Gulf, covering (starting from the bottom and moving clockwise) Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Iran.

Streams of dust still lingered in the skies on May 18 when this image was captured by the MODIS on the Aqua satellite. Buff-colored plumes of dust sweep from northwest to southeast over the water.
