Saba Riazi won the jury award at the The Los Angeles Film Festival for Best Narrative Short Film. The award includes a $5000 prize. She was previously awarded the UNESCO-ASCHBERG bursary award in 2004. Saba holds an MFA in film production from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Directing from the University of Tehran.
